The field of clinical research is focused on developing cost-effective ways to treat disease and increase quality of life through successful development and launch of new biologics, devices, and pharmaceuticals and by incorporating the science of genomics or personalized genetic prescribing. 

This offering of the Clinical Trials Management Certificate program is presented through a partnership between the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies and Afrihealth Group.

Opportunities in the field are many and varied, ranging from the principal role of investigator to the supportive tasks surrounding regulatory compliance, scientific writing, marketing, data management and more. Employment settings include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device companies, contract research, hospitals, educational institutions and independent contractors.

The University of Delaware's Clinical Trials Management Online Certificate is offered 100% online and provides a broad overview of key competencies necessary for a successful understanding and conduct of the new product development process in today’s environment. Course topics include:

Students will have the option to register and pay in full, or pay in installments as follows:

  • Full program registration fee: $2,125 (USD)
  • Installment plan:
    • Initial 10% deposit — $212.50 USD (due upon registration)
    • Second payment —  $956.25 USD (due by March 22, 2021)
    • Final payment — $956.25 USD (due by April 26, 2021) 

Refund policy
A refund will be given, less a processing charge of $75 (USD), for written cancellation received on or before February 10, 2021. No refunds will be given after this date.
