Join us for a morning of learning designed for both novice and experienced gardeners. Featuring a variety of topics, giveaways, and an opportunity to network with our expert Master Gardeners!
This year’s Fall into the Garden program includes:
Tree Selections for Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic States, with Master Gardener Ron Simpson
This presentation will discuss tree species suitable for Delaware and the surrounding area. The emphasis will be on native trees and their importance to local ecosystems, but well-behaved exotics will be highlighted as well. Some newly significant pests and diseases will also be discussed.
Pruning with Confidence, with Master Gardeners Paul Lyons and Miriam Reed
Are you ready to take the guesswork out of your Fall and Winter “to-do” list. Shaping your plants with the “look” you envision for your landscape is personal to each homeowner. We will discuss height, form and function, future growth, and the overall health of each plant to help you develop the landscape that you will enjoy. We will also discuss basic pruning tools, their use and maintenance.
Registration is $20. Important: No refunds will be issued unless the program is canceled. You will be notified in the event of cancellation.
This program is brought to you by University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, a service of the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, a land-grant institution, and the Delaware Libraries.
