This 8-hour training in Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations and where to turn for help.
Certificate of completion is provided for this professional development opportunity if all 8 hours of the training are attended.
Two types of sessions are being offered depending on the audience with whom you work with most:

Professionals working with Adults:
March 19   9 am-5 pm   Carvel Research & Education Center, Georgetown
April 23      9 am- 5 pm  Milford Library, Milford
May 28       9 am- 5 pm  Paradee Center, Dover
June 18       9 am- 5 pm  Farm Service Agency, Dover

Professionals working with Youth:
May 11 and 18    8:30 am- 1 pm    Paradee Center, Dover
June 9  and 11    10 am- 2:30 pm  Carvel Research & Education Center, Georgetown

The cost of the training is $10/per person. Scholarships are available. Please contact Maria Pippidis for scholarship info before filling out this form.
