We have arranged a series of programs focused on protecting and enhancing our own health and wellness.  Linda Smith, with UD Employee Development, has developed a series on resilience just for us!  This series will be offered on Thursdays over lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m. in December and January.  You may register for one, two, or all three programs!

  • Thursday, Dec. 16, Enhancing Self-Resilience - Resilience is more than coping; it’s about confronting crises and difficult situations without getting overwhelmed by them. In this workshop, we will explore a working definition of resilience, identify resilience skills that we can use as individuals and share our effective strategies for “bouncing back and bouncing forward.”

  • Thursday, Jan. 6, Fostering Team Resilience - Becoming a resilient team is an ongoing commitment to creating the conditions where growth can occur in the face of challenges. This workshop will examine six pillars of resilience that can move a team from surviving to thriving.

  • Thursday, Jan. 13, Promoting Organizational Resilience - Adversity can test and confirm one’s commitment to a shared purpose within an organization. In the workshop, we will consider some key capabilities of resilient organizations. We’ll also discuss how we can bring the best of what we’ve learned from the challenges of the past year to support our growth and effectiveness in the new year.
